Cooks River Day Out at Gough Whitlam Park Earlwood. What a fabulous day! All the important environmental groups were there from CRVA; Mudcrabs; Wolli Creek Preservation Society; Cooks River Alliance. Taronga Zoo; Travel Bugs; Support for Container Deposit Legislation groups were there too. Also the Titans were there in support providing a fabulous bbq! Cr Eisler’s favourite was the echidna.

Ashbury’s Jazz Festival

Cr Linda Eisler represented Canterbury Council at Ashbury PS’s Jazz Afternoon. The music was wonderful! Tours of the community garden’s native beehive; chickens and the veges was offered. Once again Public Education showed just what it can do! Everyone was relaxed and happy, a terrific afternoon!

Last week Cr Eisler attended a Canterbury Mental Health week activity put on by Earlwood’s CECAL.
Do you know what the best brain food and antioxidant there is? …PRUNES!
Walnuts top nut; oats top cereal (use it instead of breadcrumbs); eat lots of spinach, coloured veges ( Mediterranean and Asian veges in other words).
If you speak 2 or more languages you reduce the likelihood of dementia significantly. If you don’t, sing and dance helps. Or, if all else is not on your list, do sport.
